Taking Time To Reflect

I popped into Miss Collins’ classroom during Character Development Coach time a few weeks ago to see how things were going and ended up staying for the duration, as a result of the lovely activity students were involved in and the positive atmosphere it created.

Miss Collins gave every student a pile of post-it notes and asked them to write down anything they had done at school that they were proud of during the first half term. Students then had to stick them on a flip-chart stand and Miss Collins selected a few to read to the class to initiate discussion and a round of applause.

The session finished with a short video that Miss Collins had put together by way of a highlight reel of the first half term at BMS. The students loved watching this and it created a lovely atmosphere which I imagine remained with the students throughout the entire day.
