Student Parliament Meeting
Our fourth Student Parliament meeting was attended by a couple of guest speakers who were welcomed by Head boy Rikesh and our Senior prefect Tristian.
Mark Harrison , area manager from Caterlink (the company that run our restaurant, sixth form cafe and ‘pod in the quad’) was keen to get feedback from the student body on the food served in all these areas.  All the students were keen to share their experiences with interest.  Food is topic that everyone seems to have an opinion on.  There were lots of constructive ideas given and we are looking forward to seeing this feedback being used effectively.   Thank you to Rachael Coombs (BSJT Business Manager) for attending also.  She plays a proactive role in the school, ensuring that our finances are well managed and providing the school with great services, such as our caterers.
Steve Francis from the Bushey Festival  Committee delivered a presentation to the students that was informative.  He also encouraged the students to provide him with ideas that would attract young, local people to the event.  Bushey Meads School have also been invited to perform at the event.   If anyone is interested they should contact him via email at busheyfestival@mail.com.
Thank you to both our guest speakers.  It is great that the local community are becoming more and more involved with our students leaders.
Kerrie, our head prefect will feedback the updates to the form representatives and house captains before half term.  They will deliver these to every student in the school during tutor time.  It is important that our student voice remains strong and we can see improvements as a direct result of these meetings.
Thank you to all the Student Parliament team for their significant contributions and to our guest speakers for taking the time out of their schedule to listen to our student voice!
