Health and Wellbeing Week at BMS

We are really fortunate to have such a great PE and Health Faculty at BMS led by Mr Cartledge who took the main School Assemblies all week in the lead up to our annual Fun Run on Friday. As parents and carers, whilst we all want our children to achieve their academic potential in and beyond school, I’m sure we would all agree that the absolute priority is that our children are, above all, healthy and well. This underpins all the work that we do at school to ensure that students understand the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.

The impact of the global pandemic and multiple lockdowns has inevitably had a major negative effect on health and well being and we are all striving to re-establish those good habits of eating healthily, minimising screen time and being active each and every day. Besides enjoying our annual Fun Run and non-school uniform day, students raised a significant amount of money for the British Heart Foundation and also for the Ukrainian refugee appeal. Thank you to all of you for your support.
