On Tuesday 28th June, I had the greatest pleasure to be able to take a group of 40 students on a day out to Thorpe Park as a way of congratulating them on their commitment to their work and contributions to lessons during our Flair week in March 2022.
In total, 140 students received invitations and tickets were allocated on a first-come, first-served basis to all of these students who had achieved Flair Certificates or been awarded reward points for completing Gusto projects throughout the year. We received so many varied entries across many different subjects and were delighted that the Gusto projects, carefully designed within each faculty by our More Able Faculty Coordinators, had been so well received.
We were very pleased with the outcomes for More Able projects this year and were thrilled to be able to reward students that had gone the extra mile to complete Flair/Gusto work. Thanks also goes to all the staff who worked hard to offer some incredible opportunities for our students during Flair week, especially to Mr Malik, Miss Cole, Miss Jackson, Mr Gray, Miss Paddick and Mr Harrop.
We will continue to promote the More Able agenda at Bushey Meads School as an opportunity for all to increase their enjoyment of learning and to raise aspirations for all.
Aspire to Achieve.
