World mental health day
October 10th 2023 was World Mental Health Day. In school we are seeing a rise in students that are suffering from poor mental health. Though our themes of the week and enrichment days we spend lots of time focused on looking after our own mental health as well as the mental health of others. Making time to talk with our children at home about their thoughts and feelings can help us recognise the early signs of deterioration mental health.
There are many websites that parents and students can use as a staring points for conversations or to signpost to additional support.
