Children’s Mental Health Week
This week was Children’s Mental Health Week and the theme of this week’s Assembly was Resilience. Mrs Ash, Head of Safeguarding, Standards and SEND spoke about what it is to be resilient and how to develop resilience.
Resilience is linked to a growth mindset and good mental health. There are many ways to look after our own mental health such as eating well, sleeping well and getting outside in the fresh air.
This week students have been watch videos featuring students of their own age and celebrities talking about their mental health and their coping strategies,
This year’s theme for Childrens Mental Health Week is ‘Know yourself, grow yourself’. Putting emphasis on knowing your emotions and recognising how they make you feel.
We now have 28 trained student mental health champions in school that any student can talk to and the pastoral team is always available for support.
