Enrichment Day
Friday 27th September was the first of our five Enrichment Days. The school timetable gets suspended for the day and students get to take part in a wide variety of activities to boost cultural capital within faculties, to enhance their personal development and to prepare them for the future.
This Year we had a trip to Whipsnade Zoo for Year 7, Year 12 visited various museums in London and Year 11 and 13 focused on their next steps.  Year 8 went on a ‘Mission to Mars’ whilst Year 9 got to think about their place in the world on a humanities immersion day.
Year 10 had an exciting day immersed in one of their options subjects and experienced a range of activities including a day’s work experience in a nursery, watersports and a trip to Bletchley Park. There really was something for everyone.
These days provide an excellent opportunity to work with students and staff they would not normally work with building strong relationships. Attendance on these days is essential so students are not missing out on statutory PSHE and Careers guidance.
A massive thank you goes out to all our amazing staff for the time they take to plan and deliver all these exciting opportunities for the students.
