Theme of the Week – Consideration

Our Main School Assemblies this week have been led by Assistant Headteacher Ms Greenwood on the really important theme of CONSIDERATION. Being considerate takes a definite decision and links with our Growth Mindset rationale. Ms Greenwood praised the students for being considerate, but also gave lots of practical tips and advice for how we can be even more considerate, in line with our ethos and culture that promotes that Mind to be Kind.

She also reminded students that, besides being kind and compassionate to others we should also be kind and compassionate to ourselves. Making sure we eat well, exercise and get plenty of sleep are all very important ways that we can be considerate to ourselves and, doing these simple practical things, will also have a major positive effect on our learning in school. Also at times choosing to opt out of social activities, or limit our social media use, is a way of being considerate to ourselves and making sure our mental health is as good as it can be.

As a reminder, we have a fantastic group of Mental Health Champions in school and these students took part in a refresher training session this week – do look out for them around the school they should be proudly wearing their blue MHC Lanyards.
