Students Donate Books to Primary Schools

Back in March, for the World Book Day competition, some of our amazing students baked book-themed cakes and held a bake-sale so others could enjoy their creations. The proceeds of that sale have now been used to purchase 52 books, many nominated by the ‘bakers’, to be given to our primary schools for their young people to enjoy. Special book- plates have been added so readers know the books come recommended by Bushey Meads students. Let’s hope the primary students enjoy them!

This is a lovely extension of the regular cross phase projects that take place across the trust. I look forward to continuing my work with the primary schools, offering support with their libraries and guidance on texts.
