In the middle of our annual Flair Week, where we have once again been encouraging all students to show flair in their learning, it was very apt to be able to attend a superb evening of drama in our atmospheric theatre studio and witness our amazingly talented Year 12 and Year 11 GCSE drama students perform. The Year 12 group started the evening by demonstrating their outstanding abilities in a 40 minute rehearsal performance which preceded some very individual ensemble performances that made up 30% of the Year 11 drama students’ GCSE examinations. The inspiration for each scripted piece was quite unique and made for a real showcase evening for the Drama Department at Bushey Meads.
All the students involved should be very proud of the many hours of dedicated rehearsal and the level of performance standard they all attained. There was very real drama and lots of emotion for the audience to tangibly feel throughout the brilliant evening. Well done to all involved!
