The Key to Outstanding Progress

Research shows that responding to high quality marking and feedback is one of the real keys to making outstanding progress in learning.

It was therefore really encouraging to see such detailed and varied examples of feedback in Maz Dokelman’s Year 7 Science book earlier this week.

With all the worksheets neatly stuck into the book, titles underlined and diagrams effectively drawn and labelled carefully, there were peer, self and teacher feedback stickers, evidence of green pen teacher feedback from Miss Nugara and purple pen responses from Maz himself. Orange stickers also captured some excellent verbal feedback and a nice personalised cover had been provided for his well maintained book.
