Friday CDC Time
Our school always falls silent at 8.40 am on Friday morning every week as we dedicate 20 minutes in the busyness of our lives to reading.
Some CDC groups read a set text together in a guided reading experience and others simply read a book or text of their choice. The whole school experience reminds students of the importance of reading and the need to continually develop their literacy skills which underpins all learning across the curriculum.
Staff model this to their students and it is always great to hear and see them reading – a powerful picture!
