Sycamore House Inspiring Teamwork Assembly
This week’s assembly, led by our Head of Sycamore House, Ms Patel, was a remarkable gathering focused on the theme of teamwork. Ms Patel delivered an inspiring talk, urging our students to recognise the significance of working together towards common goals. Teamwork, she emphasised, is not just a skill but a valuable life asset.
Also during the assembly, Ms Patel congratulated Benny in Year 8 for securing victory in the house competition. Additionally, a round of applause is in order for Lena Mysiak, Gaheeza Jabarkhail, Isaac Harries, Ajra Permeti, Athena Yu, and John Magkafourakis, who have earned top house points this term.
Ms Patel talked about the importance of leadership, communication, creativity and collaboration as essential components of effective teamwork. Students were encouraged to cultivate these skills, recognising that they are not only crucial in academic settings but also in preparing for future endeavors.



A highlight of the assembly was the insightful presentation by Tom Harverson, the Sycamore form representative from Year 12. Tom shared the inspiring story of Desmond Doss, a World War II hero who, despite facing adversity, exemplified the power of courage, determination, and teamwork.
