Successful School Visit

School leaders from across the South East of England continue to visit our outstanding school to learn and hear about the very best practice and all the latest educational developments that are impacting so positively on students education here at BMS. On Tuesday of this week we welcomed experienced Deputy Headteacher Rupert Keeble and Pastoral Leader Lynne Goldwater from Yateley School in Hampshire.

Pictured here meeting with Senior Assistant Headteacher Graeme Searle at the start of the day they wanted to learn about our superb Year 6 – 7 Transition Programme that encourages and supports all our new students to make such a positive start to our school. After a tour of the school they connected in a with a number of key staff at breaktime in the Staffroom and spent time with Pastoral Manager Mr Malik to look at the whole range of effective pastoral support provided for students at the school, including our excellent work in the area of developing positive mental health.

Assistant Headteacher Mr Varsani arranged for them to meet a number of superb student leaders before lunch and a cross section of senior middle leaders for further networking opportunities. The pictures of the visitors meeting the students in LRC4 gives an indication of the range of discussion topics covered, with students from many year groups and all areas of student leadership across the school taking part.
The day finished with them gaining an in depth knowledge of our rewards and consequence system and understanding our key priority and ethos and culture of praise and rewards. Their comments in the visitors book said it all…….
Thank you for a very interesting visit. A joy to meet the staff and students and food for thought. Thank you
A wonderful school which has been a fantastic experience to visit. All staff and students have been a joy to speak to. Thank you.
