Last week in Staff Briefing, Deputy Headteacher Mr Beswick reminded all staff of the performance appraisal cycle that has now reached the mid-year review point and it being a chance to celebrate and acknowledge the ongoing professional development of all staff. The mid-year review meeting enables all staff to take that ‘moment in time’ to review any professional development targets set in September 2024, recognise the progress made towards meeting them and identify any next steps to ensure further success.
Associate Leader Mr Johnson then talked about a chance for all students to demonstrate the progress that they have made this year and celebrate them showing flair in lessons as part of our whole-school Flair Week taking place this week.
Throughout the week students have been encouraged to attempt challenge activities and the Golden Boxes of Challenge in lessons, perhaps stepping up to be student teachers in their classes and to show real flair in their learning.
All students are also being encouraged to look on the online platform Massolit to deepen their learning and understanding across all of their subjects areas and also download the More Able Booklet from the school website which is packed full of exciting challenges and activities to support outstanding progress.
