It was superb to have our senior school leaders including our Head Boy Ben and Head Girl Georgina join the Senior Leadership Team at Bushey Meads School for their weekly meeting on Monday evening of this week. Along with David and Kushali they presented some excellent views and opinions on a whole range of issues and placed the very strong student voice agenda once again at the heart of our school. The voice of students has always been valued and has helped to shape many developments across our learning community – not least in the £60k refurbishment of F Block toilets, installation of new basketball posts this summer, improvements to teaching and learning and assessment across the school, refinements to the catering provision for all students and the way we provide general information and improve communication across our busy school. On Monday the key issues discussed included gaining feedback after the recent Pre Public Exams or PPEs, access to toilets throughout the day, raising awareness of access to help for mental health related issues, improving the variety of food options and prices in the restaurant and improving some of the facilities around the school site. All of the ideas were valued and discussed in detail and we would like to thank the senior student leaders for the key role that they play in the life of the school.
