Retain and Retrieve!

Trying to engage the students and help them retain and retrieve information when they need it has been a key focus of mine since september.  Attending CPD opportunities via the teacher triad has enabled me to equip myself with a variety of strategies and tools to implement in the classroom.

One of these has been quizzing the student on knowledge they have accumulated throughout the duration of the course.  To make it more fun and engaging, I try to use fun and interactive websites to help them.  One of these is Quizziz!  Students answer questions in a race to get to the top of the leaderboard.  One student commented “I really like playing these games as it doesn’t feel like revision and it is improving my exam answers”.
