With the major government announcement on Monday evening and significant U-Turn in policy direction last week, I would like to thank all staff at Bushey Meads for the way that they rallied round to focus on enhancing our approach to remote learning, enabling us to build on the live streaming initiatives piloted by teachers last term that have helped to connect classrooms at Bushey Meads to students’ homes even more effectively.
Dear Mr Turner, I am the mother of a Year 11 student. I do hope you and your family are healthy and safe. Today I got some updates from school such as PPE results updates and online classes which are going to start from Monday. I am very happy and grateful to you and all the teachers who have taken the decision to start online classes. This will be more helpful to students as they can ask their doubts at the same time during class. I understand this is the toughest time for teachers as they have to work more than usual. All the teachers are working so hard to make our children progress. From last March 2020 till today whether it’s lockdown or isolation teachers were giving all the support whenever my son needed it. As a parent our big concern is our child education (as specially in GCSE) during the pandemic but I personally feel that school is giving support and guidance more than usual during these months. I must appreciate all the teachers’ hard work and much obliged to them. They not only teach regular syllabus but guide students to the right path. Many thanks to you and the entire Bushey Meads teachers for their support. Regards, Year 11 Parent |
Dear Mr Turner Happy New Year. Hope you had a good day. I just wanted to drop a few lines to tell that my children were so happy today having had virtual teachings/learning. They felt more connected and more ‘like school’ doing their school work and are looking forward to tomorrow virtual classes. So, a massive Well done to you and your staff. Have a great week. Parent of Students in Year 8, 10 and 12 |
Dear Mr Turner I just wanted to give you some positive feedback from today’s online learning. My youngest son Evan really enjoyed the structure and the format of the new approach, and in particular the interaction with the teacher. I appreciate that all of the teachers are having to work incredibly hard to deliver such a programme, and thank them for their hard work. Warm regards, Parent Governor |
Good afternoon Mr Turner, I hope you had a restful weekend. The virtual learning is going really well. It’s really making the children feel like they are connected with their peers and the teachers are really enthusiastic in setting the tone and getting the students involved! It also means I can get on with working from home thank you for putting this in place, it’s a life saver! Year 8 Parent |
