Comment : Monday saw the year 10 Futsal tournament take place. The competition was played in a very competitive manner with all teams winning at least one of their games. The vast majority of the games were decided by a one goal margin which shows how close the final standings were. The overall champions were Maple house who finished 3 points above Ash after beating them in the last game of the competition. The tournament was played in a really good spirit throughout. Well done to all involved.
YEAR 9 INDOOR FUTSAL

Winners : WILLOW
Squad : D Mahmud, L Fearnside, A Linsdwell-Turk, L Amin
Comment : The Year 9 Futsal tournament was extremely competitive with no team winning more than 2 games. 8 of the games were drawn which shows how close the competition was. Following all the matches a decisive 1-0 win in the last game gave Willow a total of 9 points after 2 wins and 3 draws which was enough to see them finish in 1st place. Nearly 40 boys took part and the tournament was played in great spirit. Well done all.
YEAR 8 INDOOR FUTSAL
Date : Tuesday 13th December
Winners : Oak/Willow
Squad : K. Gibson, D. Small, E. Richards, F. Fowler, H. Neal, D. Alter
Comment : On Tuesday, Year 8 students gathered together to take part in the annual indoor futsal tournament. It was excellent to see around 30 students taking part in the tournament across the year group. The tournament was played in good spirits all around. The tournament had it all, cagey games ending in 0 – 0 draws, comfortable victories and shock defeats across the board. The tournament was an extremely tight affair with the top three teams being separated by 0 points and the winner decided based on goal difference. The final game saw Ash vs Oak/Willow which were the two teams at the top of the table. Pressure was put on both teams as Elm secured a win in their last game which took them level on points with Oak/Willow at the top of the table. Ash had to win in order to be in the top two. Ash got an early goal in the final game vs Oak/Willow and they needed one more in order to go top of the league. Unfortunately, the second goal never came for Ash and it allowed Oak/Willow to be crowned the overall winners. 3rd place was Elm, with a goal difference of +2 and 10 points. 2nd place was Ash with a goal difference of +3 and 10 points. 1st place was Oak/Willow with a goal difference of +4 and 10 points. Well done to all involved, an excellent afternoon of futsal.
