Gabriela Zhelyazkova in year 12 shared some incredible news with us last week. Gabriela’s artwork was chosen to be displayed in an art gallery based in Cambridge, called Gallerie V. The gallery had its open evening event on Wednesday 19th May, which Gabriela attended with her family.
We are all incredibly proud of Gabriela and her accomplishments and wish her every success for the future. please do click on the link below for more details on the gallery. https://www.galleriev.com Here is what Gabriela had to say about the exciting experience:
During the end of lockdown, while finishing up my final piece for the topic of ‘Structures’ in fine art, I contacted a few galleries to see whether they were interested in my work.
Gallerie V reached out to me, intrigued by my most recent art. Initially, they had a competition which as a reward meant that your work would be exhibited in their gallery, which I was unaware of as the deadline had already passed. They invited me, without being in the competition, giving me an exciting opportunity to be involved in the art community.
There was an open evening on the Wednesday 19th of May, which my family and I attended. I met other young artists who also had their work exhibited. This was an amazing experience, which provided me with a platform to express my creativity and also the opportunity to display my artwork to the public of Cambridge. This was a huge achievement for me as it has always been a massive ambition of mine to have my work in a gallery.
Therefore, I want this to be a message to all the young artists, that you can do anything you put your mind to and believe in yourself that you are worth all the success and positive experiences that will come to you.
