Enrichment day

The third enrichment day of the term was held last week. Enrichment days takes pupils off timetable and allow them to become immersed in an activity or theme for the whole day.

The students really embrace this way of working and it gives them chance to work in a way that would not typically fit into curriculum lessons. Year 10 had a whole day learning about Hinduism they even got to experience a traditional wedding and make some traditional sweets.
Year 7 and 9 got to learn more about themselves and their bodies looking at how their bodies change throughout their teenage years and how they can keep themselves safe mentally, physically and online.
Year 8 had a Science Technology Engineering and Maths (STEM) day where they looked at some STEM careers, met industry professionals and tired sone of our STEM club activities.
An excellent day was had all round with much anticipation about what the next enrichment day will bring.
