This week marked the commencement of the first stage of the Soaring to Success programme, featuring online conferences led by distinguished aviation industry leaders from the UK and Europe.
The excitement began with 20 eager students participating in the sessions on the first day. As word spread about the programme’s dynamic content and unique learning opportunities, our numbers soared, concluding the week with a fantastic total of 28 students engaged in this enriching experience.
Throughout the week, students had the privilege of hearing from experts in the aviation industry, including representatives from British Airways and KISPE, a prominent space systems giant. Tuesday brought insights from the Royal Air Force and Boeing, while Wednesday’s sessions, facilitated by experts from Eagle Eye Innovations, delved into the fascinating world of Drones and Remotely Piloted Systems.
Thursday saw engaging sessions conducted by BAE Systems and IAG Cargo, and the week concluded with a flourish on Friday with sessions from Airbus Air Service Training and the RAF Air Cadets. Students seized the opportunity to pose questions directly to industry professionals, gaining valuable insights into the myriad prospects and aspirations within the aviation industry.
The feedback from our students has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing gratitude for the enriching and fulfilling experiences these sessions have provided. It’s a privilege to witness such enthusiasm and commitment from our future pilots and aerospace engineers.
As we move forward, stage 2, the eLearning phase, is scheduled to commence on January 8th, extending until March 28th. More details about this phase will be shared in the near future.
