Head of House, Ms Noyan, delivered a hugely motivational assembly to Beech house on Tuesday 1st February.
In the assembly, Ms Noyan asked students to consider their successes and what makes someone successful.
We also celebrated the success of Beech house so far, including Rosey Hall, a Beech member, winning the House Arts Competition earlier this year with her art work.
The highlight for me was hearing from four students who described their successes and what people needed to do to become successful. Ma’Kayjah from year 8 described success as having ambition and motivation, whereas Ben from year 12 shared his successful moments of his life at BMS including winning the CDC award in year 9 and being a lead in the school production, due to open next week. Other year 12s, Cameron and George focused upon inspiring Beech members to step up to their success. Cameron shared his take on the keys to success, emphasising how people should not be afraid to fail but from learning from mistakes to constantly move forward. George dramatically called out to Beech members to simply ‘Believe’, instilling confidence in all and a drive to seize all opportunities.
As the students return to Bushey Meads School after a well deserved break, the finishing line is in sight after a difficult school year. Therefore, it was lovely to see a number...
