On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of taking 60 students from Year 7 to visit Warner Bros Studios for the day. Students were invited in recognition of their sustained commitment to and effort in Library Studies, many having worked hard to improve their reading or expand the range of books they read.
Students spoke highly of their day – “It was really fun”, “It was good because we were learning about how the movies were made etc in a fun environment rather than on screens”, “It was amazing”, “I loved the day”.
Along with the other accompanying staff I was so proud of our students; whilst their enthusiasm and excitement was palpable, they still managed to exhibit excellent behaviour and consideration for other visitors. I think their rendition of ‘Sweet Caroline’ on the short journey home, spoke volumes!
