Lockdown Learning

As we find ourselves in Lockdown 3.0, we are back to remote learning with the many challenges and, sometimes, the heated discussions that go along with it.

As a mum of three (aged 12, 10 and 3 years old), I currently have two of my children at home and we have had to incorporate remote learning into our daily routine. The logistics of this in itself can cause headaches, finding room for the boys to work alongside my partner, navigating different online platforms and ensuring that as few arguments occur as possible.

Working in a school environment has obviously given me a great advantage to accessing google classrooms and troubleshooting any issues that may occur. However, I have many friends who haven’t had this insight and to whom the whole online remote learning is a minefield that is incredibly hard to master, especially whilst trying to maintain their own jobs at the same time!

I would like to share with you a 30 minute youtube video that was live earlier this week. The EdTech Guru, who is a Senior Teacher with great experience of Google Classroom, provided a “Getting to Grips with Google Classroom – Parent Edition” to help parents up and down the country. Perhaps you would like to grab a cup of tea, click on bit.ly/Class4Parent and see if the video can help to answer any google classroom related questions you may have.
