Over the last couple of weeks, Year 8 and 9 students were invited to come along to the after school Thursday sewing workshop, to learn how to make their own tote bag.
Students selected and brought along their own fabric of choice and very quickly got stuck into making.
The idea was that students would be able to show their own style and flair through creating a simple but stylish tote bag of their very own.
Some of our experienced year 9 students worked quickly with the paper patterns, cutting out their fabric to the correct shape and size and were superb at helping each other along too!
The year 8 students were fantastic at paying meticulous attention to pinning and cutting accurately and got some more sewing machine practice under their belts!
A really well done to all of the students who came along! I’m so impressed that we have some budding designers in our school and I certainly hope they continue to make their own projects!
