Our Monday Magic Moment was delivered by Miss Stanton and focussed on her explaining some recent developments in the English Faculty to support teachers and students in capturing accurate assessment data and measuring the students’ progress through Key Stage 3.
The summary assessment sheets have been carefully crafted to highlight areas of strength and those for development and enable staff and students to complete them smartly to support their purple pen improvement work.
They can be easily used for self and peer assessment opportunities and are effectively supporting the development of greater independence in learning. The presentation sparked discussion across the staffing body and reinforced an effective approach that a number of different faculties are currently developing.
