Inspiring Thought Provoking Assemblies
Throughout the day on Monday all students had the opportunity to listen to an extremely thought provoking and, at times, challenging assembly reflecting on the importance of thinking carefully about what you post on social media. The important messages given reinforced the view that ill-considered images posted online and inappropriate group chats on social media can be misinterpreted or at worst lead to very serious consequences, either at the time or later in life.
Students listened with great intent and showed immense respect to the visiting speaker Alison who tragically lost her very talented son to a fatal incident, fuelled in part by social media posts. I would hope that all students understand the extremely important messages given and continue to really choose their friends and associates (both in and out of school) very carefully.
If anyone is worried or concerned please do not hesitate to contact the Pastoral Team at Bushey Meads and speak to your Pastoral Manager for advice and support.
