Inspiring Assemblies this Week

At the start of our hugely important Black History Month at BMS it was so good to listen to the key messages provided by Assistant Headteacher Mr Varsani and be reminded of so many truly inspiring black role models and key leaders who have shaped our society in so many different ways and made our world a better place. The video message by Maya Angelou made for an amazing start to the day for all the year group cohorts listening throughout the week. ‘Doing the right thing’ is not always the easiest or most expedient thing to do,but it is always the best and good for our souls.

We are so blessed to be part of such a rich and diverse community at Bushey Meads and never want to take this for granted. As Mr Varsani reminded us, our three Rs of Respect, Responsibility and Relationships underpin our commitment to promoting equality and diversity for all and remind us of the value we place on all individuals and the contributions they make.
