The Movies Come To Bushey Meads
Drama has its challenges for remote learning. A subject that traditionally relies on extensive group work and plenty of close interaction was always going to provide us with questions as to how we could deliver such a practical subject remotely. Our students have been magnificent though, we have received countless videos of students performing in the confines of their own homes; storyboarded drama performances and many carefully crafted scripts inspired by an array of styles of drama through the ages.
Our year 10 GCSE drama students have made huge inroads into the theoretical side of their course and have created outstanding revision resources that they can use throughout the next year as part of their preparation for their final GCSE exams. Following such hard work we tasked them with a fun task to enable them to embrace their creativity.
Inspired by Channel Four’s Taskmaster and presented to the students by the comedian Alex Horne (albeit via a recorded video admittedly) our students were tasked with silently recreating an iconic movie moment from the comfort of their homes. We have compiled a few of our favourite ones together so you can play Guess the Movie!
