To everyone in our Bushey Meads family and local community – as a school we work across the curriculum ensuring our teachers are aware of career opportunities/talks and events.
We are always keen to develop new business links within our local community in order to continue to offer our students a varied wide range of opportunities, to suit all of their different and individual needs.
During 2019 and 2020 we have been delighted to be supported in many different ways, by a number of organisations. This includes our excellent links with YC Hertfordshire and Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership.
This has covered weeks of work experience, mock interview days, Enrichment days, STEM days and enterprise events – just to name a few.
Even throughout lockdown our students, staff and parents have still been able to engage with many employers virtually giving meaningful experiences – testament to this is evidenced through our Newsletter on 19th June 2020.
Our main business partner has been INTU who have been a fantastic asset to our Work Related Learning opportunities.
However we would like to thank all of the following organisations for supporting us this year. This list does not include everyone who has offered virtual support but gives an idea of the different links we have forged:-
Our students have also, via our very valued links with YC Hertfordshire, been supported with work experience opportunities this year by over 100 organisations – here are just a few of them:-

We are always keen to develop new relationships and have recently met with Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden and are looking forward to working with them during the academic year 2020-21.
Our aim for next year is to involve more parents and carers as we believe that you have a massive untapped source of experience and knowledge that our students could be benefitting from.
Please contact us if you feel you would like to be supporting our students with any Work Related Learning opportunities. If you would like to offer any feedback on any of the events you have been involved in this year, please do not hesitate to contact us as we always welcome your views.
