Year 7 Celebration Evening

It was an absolute delight to attend the annual Year 7 celebration evening Thursday 20th October to recognise all of the fantastic work our new Year 7 cohort have been doing this half term. Within the Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty parents were privy to a range of activities that Year 7 have been doing with the focus on ‘communities’.

From looking at gruesome medieval punishments and customs in medieval towns and villages (such as the infamous Trial by Baked Beans) in History – see our ‘defendant’ below, creating a unique place of worship in Religious Studies to creating models global communities using shoeboxes, such as the Inca tribe in Geography. The entire evening was a great way for students to showcase their potential and enjoyed by students, parents and staff alike. On to another fantastic half term!
