The year 12 A Level dancers took the role of the teacher in our theory lesson this week..
They each prepared a presentation based on the practitioner we are currently studying, Gene Kelly. They were each assigned one of Gene Kelly’s professional works to watch and create a presentation based on this. 50% of their overall grade in dance is based on theory work, so this was a great way for them to learn the information.
I was extremely impressed with the level of detail that they had each put into their presentations. Despite being told to present something between five and ten minutes long, they each prepared a presentation of at least twenty minutes! They delivered their presentations with a high level of professionalism, clarity and enthusiasm.
The year 12’s have made a fantastic start to A Level dance, keep it up!
