This week saw our year 7 students engaging in online tests. The purpose of these tests is to ensure that all students are in the appropriate sets for each of their core subjects. These subjects being English, Maths and Science.
This is important not only in fostering our Aspire to Achieve culture but also for student well being. In building lifelong learners these core subjects play an integral role in our curriculum. English, Maths and Science are fundamental in developing confident students who embrace challenges and are able to make informed choices about their future.
Whatever a student’s ability or aspiration it is these subjects that provide the bridge to achieve their goals and have a fulfilled life as part of the wider community in which they live. All students demonstrated impressive skills of organisation, independent learning and concentration over the tests.
