Our excellent Head of Faculty for Modern Foreign Languages Mrs Charles delivered a very timely Friday Faculty Foci at the end of last week to all staff in our Staff Briefing meeting in the Main Hall. She highlighted all the tried and tested techniques and strategies she has honed and perfected over many years to assist students in revising thoroughly for their GCSE and A level examinations and internal tests.
Most of the strategies involved some element of competition, whether against the clock, against yourself, or against your peers in the class, and this additional edge certainly provides an active and fun aspect to what can be a more challenging aspect of learning. Her presentation gave much food for thought for all of us as we reflected on how we are preparing all of our students for their upcoming examinations in the summer term.
