Despite all the challenges this term has thrown at students, so many have risen to the challenge and truly shown what great character and resolve they have. Whilst we as a school have had to respond, sometimes almost overnight, to new guidelines coming out at many times, the students have simply supported every new way of doing things and much to their credit, any new way of doing something has very quickly become the norm, thanks to the understanding and cooperation of our students.
Amidst all of this, our students have still continued with their academic endeavours and whilst this is always recognised by our dedicated teachers within lessons, another way of giving the students recognition is through praise postcards. In one of our weekly pastoral briefings, all Character Development Coaches were given time to write a couple of these postcards to students they felt had really shone in a particular way. There was a really nice atmosphere in the hall and as a result of the postcards sent out that day, the smiles would of have extended from the hall to all the households that received one of these postcards. Smiles that are very much needed during these times.
