Can you express yourself through poetry – in whatever shape or form? On behalf of the English Faculty, Mr Johnson and Miss Stanton are excited to announce the launch of our themed ‘Lockdown Poetry Competition’. We are inviting all students to compose and submit an inspiring piece of poetry about an aspect of life under lockdown or that conveys a message of hope to us all. Prepare your entries now by reflecting on your experiences of the lockdown and consider how you could convey your thoughts, feelings and ideas creatively. Competitions like this are a great opportunity to experiment and set yourself challenges in your writing. Your writing can be any style of poetry, long or short, and doesn’t need to rhyme. We cannot wait to read the submissions from all of the budding poets at Bushey Meads. Please refer to the competition poster for further guidance.
