Last week I had the pleasure of experiencing my first in-person Open Evening event at Bushey Meads School. It was a busy evening with a lot of families joining us to get a feel for the atmosphere and a flavour of what learning is like here. The positive feedback form staff, families and student helpers was unanimous and really did justice to the nurturing community that the school has constantly built. Families were able to attend a presentation by the Executive Principal and hear about the overall school ethos and culture as well as to tour the school site.
Our student tour guides were all volunteers and it was impressive to see the number and range of students who had chosen to give up their evening to represent the school. A true testament to the family, positive atmosphere that we have here. With our excellent value added, outstanding pastoral care and wide curriculum it was an inspirational event to have attended.
It made for such a positive end to the first half term of the calendar year and to see so many talented students taking part in this year’s School Production Little Shop of...
