The BMS Exam Season Comes To An End

This week we saw the exam season come to an end.  Starting with our Year 7 and 8 end of year exams four weeks ago, we have cycled through Year 9 exams in week 2 and Year 10 and 12 exams in weeks 3 and 4.  We know what a challenging time exams can be for students, but with the support of their teachers and exam invigilation staff, the students have coped really well.  The students showed a great level of maturity and commitment and we hope all the work they have put into preparing for the exams is rewarded with the type of results they wish for.  A big thank you to all of our parents and carers too for all the help and support you will have provided outside of school.

Looking forward to the summer holidays, all of our staff are finalising the details of the summer Getting Ahead Programme (GAP) tasks.  The purpose of these tasks is to keep students drip feeding some learning into their days during the holidays and not lose momentum before starting again in September.  Whilst it is really important to unwind, recharge and really enjoy some family time, we do hope that students find some time to engage with these tasks and continue enjoying the learning process throughout the summer holidays.  As the title suggests, it would be great to ‘get ahead’ before September.
