New to school students enjoy induction day

It was fantastic to welcome 25 new to school students into our outstanding Sixth Form on Friday. The excited students met key members of the Sixth Form and their new CDC in a induction day designed to support them in a positive and successful transition to Bushey Meads School. CDCs met and got to know their new students and explain the expectations and support available. Student had tours of the site which was then tested with an engaging a group competition to find a range of items or places across the site!

Team building games also included building the tallest tower from cups, marshmallows and spaghetti. Much fun and laughter was seen, plus some drama as towers collapsed in the final minutes! Games of ‘two truths and a lie’ helped build relationships and by the end of the morning our new to school students felt more confident starting the new term successfully. Our school has a mind to be kind and we look forward to welcoming them as part of our successful Sixth Form.
We wish them every success in their new start at Bushey Meads!
