Engaging Everyone in Learning
At BMS we are very grateful to our top practitioners and key members of our Teaching and Learning Team for the outstanding continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities they arrange for all staff to support us in developing great pedagogy in our lessons.
Lead Practitioner Ms Druce is organising our next staff conference taking place after the half term holiday on the theme of increasing engagement in lessons – a fundamental facet of teaching and learning.
At our Friday Faculty Foci at the end of last week she whetted our appetites and shared with us the programme for the day, reflecting as well on activities in lessons that increase engagement including: movement based activities, questioning and group work.
We are looking forward to learning from each other, experiencing an immersive classroom to see the learning experience from the students’ experience and also spending some time in reading groups to learn from the latest research publications related to a whole range of relevant topics.
