Challenge is Good For You!
Assistant Headteacher Mrs Greenwood led the Main School Assemblies this week and reminded all students that challenge is good for you and not something to shy away from; when we are challenged we grow and learn and develop.
Embracing challenge is part of our culture here at Bushey Meads and links with our desire to inculcate a positive Growth Mindset in all our learners. When the learning is difficult and we are taken out of our comfort zone, that is when we grow.
Mrs Greenwood reminded students of the importance of taking part in all the different lessons and extra curricular activities across our school curriculum and encouraged all students to get involved in a new extra curricular club next term – do something new and different and develop your skills further.
As we finish a very successful first term here at BMS, perhaps consider your own approach to challenge and set a new year resolution to embrace it even more successfully in 2024 and reap the benefits in your learning throughout next year.
As parents and carers do encourage your children to embrace all the exciting opportunities on offer in and beyond our fabulous school. Remember that our hugely important Enrichment Days often provide these different experiences that enable our young people to grow and develop and must be prioritised.
