Supporting Students to Progress beyond BMS
At Bushey Meads we want all students to progress throughout their lives and continue to be great life-long learners, full of all the great character traits we encourage throughout their time at our school. At this time of year we want to support our Sixth Form students in particular to progress on to top level apprenticeships, prestigious places at some of the world’s renowned universities and secure great jobs in the employment sector across a whole range of workplace environments.
With that in mind, it was good to hear from Head of Sixth Form Mr O’Kelly last Friday and be reminded of the importance of writing great references that indicate students’ specific skills and that are backed up with clear evidence of what they have specifically achieved during their time at BMS.
We do wish all our Year 12 and 13 students all the best as they consolidate their learning from this year and await results in August and progress onto exciting opportunities beyond Bushey Meads.
