Superb Year 7 Musicians

It was superb to join Ms Fort’s talented Year 7 music class last Friday morning to see them learning all about the complexities of musical rhythmic notation and also be able to play and create their own rhythm patterns.

They developed their own rhythms, performed them as a soloist and in an ensemble setting and really loved putting the theory into practice.

It was very impressive and as one student said “This lesson is a mix of maths, dance, drama, music, PE and English!” Clearly enjoying the engaging start to the day.

Freya’s book indicates the care and commitment they all have to their studies. Her work is neat, well presented, peer assessed and demonstrates great progress.
