STEM Challenge of the Week: UNDERWATER...
Dear students, parents and carers,
Here is our fourth STEM Challenge of the Week.  Each week, a new challenge will be shared for students and even their families to get involved in.
This week’s STEM challenge involves some more Science magic!  Can you create your own underwater volcano?  Why not challenge a friend to create one too and you can share the outcome with each other and discuss what worked, what didn’t and possibly even the science behind it all.  Please send any pictures or videos to me and we can share them in next week’s article.  An R3 will be awarded to anyone that sends me a picture or video.
For further inspiration, think about what would happen if the largest volcano erupted in the ocean.  What impact would this have?  Would there be Tsunami?  Would lots of waterlife die?  Here’s one that will throw you – what would happen to Summer, Spring, Autumn and Winter?!!!  Watch the YouTube video below and find out the answer to these questions and so many more.
Next week, we will switch from Science back to an Engineering challenge.  Have a great week.
