Y13 Geography field trip

The geography department took the A level geography students to the amazing Jurrasic coast in Dorset for their annual residential field trip spending 4 days exploring this fascinating region. As part of their A level course, students need to complete a comprehensive piece of course work designed to answer a hypothesis which the students create themselves. The trip allowed the students to investigate and gather data on the coastal management strategies in Swanage Bay, impacts of tourism in Swanage and evolution of sand dunes in Studland Bay. Despite some mixed weather, the trip was a huge success with the students managing to all complete a wide range of data collection, and establish a clear direction to complete their coursework back at Bushey Meads.
