New Beginnings
It was great to welcome back all of our students this week and see them dressed smartly in their first assemblies of the new academic year. These assemblies were led by Assistant Headteacher Mr Mitman who has worked incredibly hard over the last year, alongside staff and students, to improve our Positive Behaviour for Learning Policy. He explained the key changes to the students and reminded them that their voice in the student surveys last year was an important factor in making the changes.
All our school rules stem from our 3Rs and if we get those three simple rules right, everything falls into place. In a way we just have 3 Rules: Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Build Good Relationships.
Our Keys to Success Poster displayed in every classroom provides a bit more detail of what our expectations are against each of the 3Rs.
He also explained the clear system of RemindReset and Remove to ensure disruption free learning in all classrooms.
Students listened carefully and I’m sure will benefit greatly from the changes we have made.
