Moving On…
Our main school assemblies last week focussed on the subject of moving on. Each year group in the school was given the chance to reflect on the year that has just passed, but more importantly plan to move onto the next important year group and new chapter in their lives. The assemblies were led by our amazing Pastoral Team Leaders who know the students so well and always want the very best for them. They reminded the students that simple things make a difference:
  • looking smart in full school uniform
  • making sure shirts are tucked in, top buttons done up and ties worn properly
  • ensuring that all students have proper polishable leather shoes (no sports brands)
  • making sure that no additional jewelry is worn
  • turning up on time for lessons
  • being ready and equipped for learning with a full pencil case, including a purple pen of progress
  • following the Keys to Success at all times
Students were reminded that it is all about our 3 Rs:
  • showing Respect to yourself and others around you
  • taking responsibility for your actions and your work
and
  • building positive relationships with all staff and students at all times
