Mental Health Awareness Week

Last Thursday all staff at Bushey Meads were encouraged to wear something yellow to raise awareness of mental health and our desire to support all young people suffering with anxiety and depression and other mental health symptoms, which are unfortunately becoming more and more prevalent in today’s society.

In Staff Briefing Miss Lister reminded all staff of the statistics related to this important agenda and the theme of the week ‘just talk.’Conversations across the room reminded us of the positive power of talking and listening to one another and at lunchtime a session was arranged for staff to get together and share further.

I would like to thank her and all the staff for their support for this key agenda in our school.
