Launching the BMS Health and Fitness Week...
It was a privilege to join 8 Elm’s Character Development Time earlier this week and listen to our outstanding Head of Faculty for PE Mr Cartledge’s virtual assembly which launched our annual Health and Fitness Week 2021. Even more importantly than ever the emphasis on developing a healthy lifestyle is paramount as we come out of another period of lockdown.
Physical, emotional and mental and social aspects of a healthy lifestyle were covered under the umbrella theme of ‘Be Inspired’. It was very informative and encouraged all students and CDCs to have a good discussion about the differences we can now make to have a positive way forward in ensuring we all have as healthy a life as possible – there are so many benefits to this.
I look forward to seeing how well all students engage in this year’s Health and Fitness Week which includes so many excellent opportunities to participate in a whole variety of House-based sporting and health-related events and activities.
